A Carpenter III is our most skilled carpenter, with an ability to perform at our highest quality standards. They are expected to develop and initiate work methods, and they are able to solve many problems proactively and autonomously. They know when to ask questions. They require limited supervision and they sometimes provide tasks and instruction to other crew members. They are expected to be able to work directly off the architectural plans. They work closely with the Lead Carpenter and Superintendent to help the project maintain time and budget goals. They have considerable understanding of construction, carpentry, and tools and they often actively mentor other carpenters. They support the Superintendent/Foreman and other Carpenters in maintaining the organization and safety of the jobsite.
